Are you ready to get baptized?

“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). The Apostle Peter spoke these words to a crowd of people who made a decision to follow Jesus. And still today, baptism is the step God calls us to take as the outward sign of our faith in him!

If you are a follower of Jesus and you haven’t been baptized, it may be time for you to take that step.

Here are three questions to ask yourself:

• Do I believe in Jesus Christ—that he forgave my sins by his death on the cross and rose to life?

• Is Jesus the Lord of my life—my ultimate authority and my leader in everything?

• Am I ready to share my story with others—by telling others how I was before Jesus, how I met Jesus, and how he has changed my life?
