  • Heather (Southeast Asia)

    Heather is a member of Southside and has a heart for those who have not yet heard the good news. After serving in Rwanda, God called Heather to the unreached people of Southeast Asia through Pioneers.

  • N & K (Uzbekistan)

    N and K will be constructing and operating aquaponic systems in Uzbekistan under their nonprofit organization.. Their intent is to employ leadership within the fledgling local Church in order to offer a living wage, discipleship, and self-sufficiency for healthy Church growth. They have two young boys, J and A.

  • Jonathan and Brittany Lauber (The Caribbean)

    Jonathan and Brittany met in 2021, while Jonathan was going through the Moody Aviation Program. Jonathan grew up in Switzerland and West Africa, while Brittany grew up in West Texas.

    The two married in 2022 and their first child, Evan, was born a year later.

    They are a part of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship), and sent to serve as an aircraft mechanic at the MAF partner organization MFI (Missionary Flights International) based out of Florida. MFI uses aircrafts to bring help, hope, and healing to the people in the remote areas of the Caribbean.

  • Jonathan and Nicole DeJongh (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

    Jonathan and Nicole are passionate about sharing and exemplifying the love of Jesus through discipleship. As a pilot/mechanic, Jonathan utilizes aviation to make connections with people and show them the love and hope of Christ. Nicole is a stay-at-home mom helping to raise their children and support Jonathan. They are based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in central Africa with Mission Aviation Fellowship. They have four boys Noah, Quinten, Wyatt and Otis and their new baby girl Aria.

  • Frank and Rebecca Arellanes (Mexico)

    Frank and Rebecca pastor a church in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, run a fruitful youth ministry and have been successful in planting another church in the area. Through their newest project Radical Camp and Leadership Institute they are looking to raise up the next generation of Christian leaders in Mexico. Frank and Rebecca have three daughters and serve as missionaries with Fellowship International Mission.

  • Arukah Global (Ethiopia)

    Arukah Global works with Ethiopia-based ministries and churches. Partnerships include working with women and children rescued from prostitution, local schools, churches, and the foremost child-advocacy organization in Ethiopia.

    Arukah Global hosts annual team serve-trips in order to support the work of their Ethiopian partners.

    Having served in Ethiopia since 2011, Mark Lewis(Pastor of Local & Global Compassion at Southside Church) founded Arukah Global in 2015. He and his wife Kimberly, consider it one of their greatest privileges to bring new (and repeat) team members to serve in Ethiopia.

  • Pastor Justus and Jane Oundo (Uganda)

    Justus is the head pastor of the Saints Alive Preparation Ministries Church in Lumino, Uganda in Central Africa. Since 2005, Southside has helped build their current church building plus Justus’ and Jane’s home. Southside has also taken many teams to Uganda to help with their local ministry. Pastor Justus is passionate about making disciples for Jesus Christ and raising up new leaders to plant new churches in Africa.

We are a group of Southside members with a passion for supporting our Global Partners. We meet monthly to:

  • Pray for our missionaries

  • Work together to support, encourage, and nurture them

  • Bring awareness of Global Mission to Southside
