Five ways to describe me:
- Creative
- Driven
- Flexible (I am so!!)
- Passionate
- Teamwork obsessed
What drives me:
First and foremost my passion is making Jesus real and relevant. Ego, opinion, pet projects and dear desires all come a distant second.
What I love:
My job. It’s fun, hard, ever-changing, multi-faceted, frustrating, more fulfilling than anything I could ever imagine doing. I love it when people have a defining moment of clarity in service. I love it when I look out over the people in the seats and everyone’s praising. I love it when I hear that someone came to Christ. I love it when someone comes to me and says they want more responsibility and ownership over the ministry.
What I hate:
Doing “church”. Traditional thinking. Writing personal profiles.
When I’m not working here:
I’m at home with my husband Roger and two daughters, Hillary and Gabby. I love movies (particularly “Signs”, which I’ve seen about 20 times and consider the best movie ever made), computer games, and (don’t judge) television, specifically ‘Community’ (my small group is just like that), ‘Law & Order’ (the Angie Harmon years), ‘The Closer’ (Brendas have to stick together), and ‘The Office’ (because it portrays real small-group relationships at their best under the leadership of a skilled shepherd).
